Saturday
Strong for Saturday: Preparing for a Family Trip
Capacity for the trip you already promised — not a peaking cycle.
Train for the trip already promised
Strong for Saturday is not a peaking cycle. It is capacity for a real date: the family trip, the walk, the stairs, the luggage, the long day you already said yes to.
Attach training to something that matters outside the gym. The goal is to arrive useful — not to look like a different man by Friday.
Action steps
- Name the Saturday: walking, carrying, stairs, standing, or a mix.
- In the weeks before, practice those demands at a conservative load. Build the baseline; do not cram.
- Protect recovery the night before. A wrecked morning is not leadership.
- On the trip, log what you completed so disruption does not erase the week you return to.
What this is not
Not a contest, not a physique deadline, and not a medical clearance. If pain, injury, or a clinical question shows up, talk to a qualified professional before you load the week.
